Pediatrics

General Overview

Our pediatrics department cares for children age 0-14 years in a friendly and supportive environment. Our pediatrics floor cares for up 23 patients, our nursery cares for 26 healthy newborn and our NICU department cares for up to 22 newborns that are sick and premature.

Our department has also inpatient and outpatient services in pediatric gastro-enterology, pediatric nephrology, pediatrics hemato-oncology, pediatrics respiratory, pediatrics endocrinology as well as pediatric neurology with outpatient clinic lab providing EEG, EMG and Nerve conduction study. We provide simple work up and we direct patient referral for problems that we do not have sub-specialist for, recently we expand our service to include kidney transplant services.

General pediatrics and subspecialties

Asthma, Gastroenteritis, acute chest infections, sepsis, meningitis, Jaundice, seizure, cystic fibrosis, failure to thrive, UTI, constipation, hydrocephalus, congenital anomaly, neuromuscular disorder, immune deficiency, malignancy, febrile neutropenia, malabsorption, Nephrotic syndrome, nephritis, anemia, thrombocytopenia, liver disorders.

Neonatology:

Respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, chromosomal disorder, congenital heart disease, extreme prematurity, neonatal jaundice, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, birth trauma, meconium aspiration syndrome

ICU care:

Severe Asthma, severe chest infection, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, head Trauma and RTA, post surgical care, status epileptics, severe sepsis, end stage system failure.
