Jordan Hospital Emergency Department is a tertiary department accepting all emergencies 24/7 all year round. Specialized emergency physicians with the full immediate support of all different medical specialties are available to all our patients.

Protocols set by International authorities and societies, which are considered the standard of practice, are followed thoroughly in our ED to provide the best medical outcome to our patients.

Our emergency department triage nurses will help with the patient experience to receive the appropriate medical attention they require without any delays. The department houses General, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedic units. In addition, there are dedicated Cardiac and trauma rooms equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to receive life-threatening conditions.

The obstetric and gynecology unit provides emergent maternal and fetal care and monitoring in the emergency room, which our dedicated physicians and staff operate. In addition, a specialized child-friendly pediatric unit ensures a comfortable journey for our young patients with highly trained pediatric emergency nurses and is run by our pediatricians.

Full support from our experienced physician teams is available immediately on request to the emergency department to diagnose and treat all patients. The Radiology department is adjacent to our emergency department to facilitate any diagnostic images required. In addition, the laboratory and pharmacy are open 24/7 to ensure full medical support to the emergency department patients.

Jordan Hospital is proud to be the first hospital in the kingdom to have a helipad for airlifting medical emergencies.
