Overview of the specialization
Our Chest and Pulmonary Diseases Department provides treatment for a wide range of lung, respiratory, and allergy disorders, as well as critical cases in the Intensive Care Unit. Our specialized pulmonary team combines clinical care, research expertise, and education to help patients breathe easier with treatments that improve lung function. We treat asthma, bronchiectasis, bronchoscopy, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cystic fibrosis, and lung disorders, including pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary sleep medicine. We offer lung cancer screening for high-risk patients to identify and treat cancers at the earliest possible stage, in addition to comprehensive diagnosis and discussion of treatment options for patients. The department is also equipped with a lung transplantation program that provides experienced care for patients with advanced lung diseases who require lung transplantation and those who have undergone transplants and need specialized monitoring.
