An advanced scientific study for "Jordan Hospital" published in one of the oldest peer-reviewed scientific journals in the world.

The American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Endocrinologists published a recent scientific and medical study by a team of researchers led by Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Basher.

The research revolves around a specific protocol used after total thyroidectomy operations.

Researchers have reached several important conclusions as the parathyroid hormone is examined immediately after the surgery, and then the ideal level of the hormone is determined to provide specific treatments and understand the nature of the parathyroid glands, which helps to prevent complications and negative effects for the patients from this procedure.

Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Bashir confirmed that this scientific study was conducted in two phases. The first phase involved determining the ideal level of the hormone, based on which the specific treatment protocol is applied. The second phase consists of administering the specific treatment protocol.

The study concluded the importance and great benefit of applying the treatment protocol for this condition.

The magazine stated in its introduction to the study report that it was conducted at a specialized advanced academic center, namely the Jordan Hospital in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The Journal of the American Thyroid Association is considered one of the most famous global medical journals specialized in this field.

The magazine is launching specific lines and guidelines for the treatment of thyroid diseases.
