Overview of the specialization

The Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Department has been a major focus of Jordan Hospital since its opening in 1996 and is continuously updated with the latest technologies. In addition, the department is staffed by highly skilled consultants. Five consultants work in the department, available 24/7 through the Jordan Hospital Emergency Department to handle all types of emergencies. Furthermore, the department's staff works closely with other departments to provide our patients with world-class medical and surgical care.

The department provides advanced treatment using microscopy and endoscopy for ear and sinus diseases. These procedures offer the benefit of no incisions by utilizing natural openings, resulting in excellent outcomes, lower complication rates, and faster recovery times. We also offer advanced cochlear implant surgery for all ages. Additionally, hearing assessments with specific recommendations for hearing aids are conducted in our clinics.

The department is renowned for treating ear, nose, and throat tumors and cancers, including pharyngeal cancer. A multidisciplinary team, including consultants in plastic and reconstructive surgery and hematology/oncology specialists, provides a comprehensive management plan for these cases to ensure the best outcomes in accordance with international guidelines.

The department is also accredited by the Jordanian Council for Higher Medical Education to train residents in this field and has graduated many specialists who currently practice in the Kingdom and the region
