Overview of the specialization
A Fruitful Past and a Bright Future
Have you thought about joining the nursing profession? If so, you've made a wise decision; because nursing is considered one of the most prosperous and advanced professions. The demand for qualified nurses will continue in the coming years.
Whether you're a new graduate or an experienced nurse, being part of the nursing team at Jordan Hospital opens the door to great opportunities and successful, rewarding relationships. We welcome and encourage joining us in the nursing department. Our nursing staff knows well that nursing is not only a lucrative job, but a profession in a supportive healthcare environment with a future. Ambition and progress as a nurse at Jordan Hospital has no limits. We spare no effort in supporting and motivating all our nurses to be productive and successful in their specialties. However, it should be known that our efforts alone are not enough; nurses need to show their interest, desire, and readiness to grow and develop. We don't hesitate to say that nursing is not a profession for everyone. Therefore, we are selective in choosing and hiring our nurses.
Education and Training:
- To ensure excellence among our nursing staff performance, we will continue our efforts to advance an educational environment that constantly evolves, where we aim to train our nurses to understand that today's practices and performance are not sufficient for tomorrow.
- We guide our nurses in our training programs to acquire the required skills to blend the art of care with modern advances in nursing and technology.
- We train our nurses to meet the unique needs of each patient and provide careful care with full respect for their privacy, dignity, and social and religious values, because our nursing staff is dedicated to ensuring patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. Our nurses work not only as patient caregivers but as advocates for their rights and duties. We continue to tell our patients that their feedback and complaints are essential, and we listen to them.
- The head of the educational department prepares a training plan each year in cooperation with the heads of nursing in all departments and units to meet their specific training needs. Follow-up and evaluation measures are taken to measure success and impose improvements and changes as needed.
- We always welcome nursing students studying in Jordanian universities and colleges to be trained at Jordan Hospital. We encourage and support our nursing staff to participate in local conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.
