Welcome to the Department of Anaesthesia at Jordan Hospital

The department has experienced steady growth over the last 25 years and is currently comprised of 12 full-time consultants and 12 residents.

The department is equipped with the most advanced anaesthetic machines and state-of-the-art monitoring systems to ensure patient safety.

Our principal responsibility is to provide anaesthesia to patients scheduled for both surgeries and procedures. This may be done by:

  • Local anaesthetic (patient remains awake)
  • Local anaesthetic with sedation (patient becomes drowsy)
  • Full general anaesthetic (patient is asleep)

Our Services

The team provides high-quality perioperative care across multiple disciplines, as well as acute and chronic pain management, and pre-operative assessment. Anaesthetic services are available 24/7 for emergency surgeries.

Jordan Hospital hosts a diverse team in Pain Medicine including Anaesthesia, Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, Neurology, and Surgery specialists. The service offers advanced diagnostic and therapeutic options:
